Grande Armée dragoons fought across the campaign - 30 regiments raised under the Empire, from Marengo through Spain to Waterloo. They scouted, screened, charged, and (uniquely for cavalry) fought dismounted with musket and bayonet.
Painting tips
- Coat: medium green with red facings.
- Helmet: polished brass with black horsehair crest, leopard-skin turban.
- Horse: warm bay or chestnut; saddle furniture green/red trim.
- Boots: tall black leather.
