A short segment of horizontal logs stacked behind driven stakes - rough field-camp barricade, mud-splashed, the kind a platoon throws up before nightfall. Period: WWII Eastern Front, 1941-1945.
Improvised log barricades guarded camp entrances, command posts, and gun positions across the Eastern Front. They cost nothing but axe-work and stopped small-arms and shell splinters.
Painting tips
- Logs: warm wood, sepia wash, lighter drybrush on cuts.
- Stakes: slightly darker.
- Mud splash on the lower third.
- Snow variant: pale drybrush on horizontal surfaces.
