Salvaged Crate Stack

A small stack of salvaged crates - mixed plastic milk crates and wooden produce boxes, half-stripped labels, weathered edges. The post-event pantry. Period: near-future apocalypse.

Plastic and wooden crates from pre-event commerce - milk delivery, produce, supermarket back-rooms - become the universal storage and furniture in the camp. The shanty-town visual language built from anything stackable.

Painting tips

  • Plastic crates: faded supermarket colours (dirty yellow, red, blue).
  • Wood crates: sepia-washed pale wood with half-stripped factory stencils.
  • Labels: faded barcodes, half-torn paper.
  • Ash and dust on top.
