A stacked sandbag fortification section - tied tops, mud-stained sides, rough field stacking. The universal modern infantry-grade cover. Period: Modern war, 1990-present.
Sandbags - hessian or polypropylene - went up around every modern checkpoint, fighting position, and aid post. In a Patrol Hammer context they line the inside of T-walls, fill firing bays, and stack into hasty cover.
Painting tips
- Bags: dusty tan or pale grey-green, sepia wash; mud at the lower row.
- Tie cords: muted off-white.
