Overpass Lookout

A camp lookout posted on the overpass edge - binoculars to the eyes, rifle slung, layered jacket and beanie. Eyes on the approach road. Period: near-future apocalypse.

Highway overpasses become natural watchpoints in a collapsed-infrastructure setting - elevation, all-round view, hard cover below. Sniper and observer pictures from contemporary urban-warfare zones gave the visual template.

Painting tips

  • Jacket: muted earth tone (dirty olive, slate, dust-brown).
  • Beanie: dark wool.
  • Binoculars: matte black with bare-metal eyecups.
  • Plate carrier (if shown): matching to jacket, dusted with ash.
